What's Happening in Term 3?
We have another very busy term underway with our focus being our school production "The Art of Fiction." We have Glen and Kate fromt eh YMCA in Wanganui taking the children for acting and dancing in preparation for the shows at the end of the term.
We have Mrs Sheila Beckers who is our Music Teacher Extraordinaire back this term! She was delighted to hear we purchased a set of Dolphin Ukeleles of which our students and staff are thoroughly enjoying learning to play them.
We have the Cluster Spelling Bee Competition and Winter Quad tournament taking place as well as a visit from the Education Review Office (ERO).
Look out for our school production performances in Week 10!

Term Two Reflection!
On the last day of term, the majority of our school participated in the Big Day Out – a reward day for students who have made good behaviour choices in the playground and classroom. 98% of children were able to meet the behavioural expectation to attend and we are very proud of these students.
Staff and children thoroughly enjoyed the experience at the Wanganui Boys and Girls Gym as well as the Splash Centre and Kowhai Park. The weather was amazing as well as our student’s exemplary behaviour.
Thank you very much to all our helpers who assisted on the day, either with transport or looking after our children – we are very grateful for your time!
During the term we had our grand opening of our Discovery Centre, Anzac Dawn Parade, X country, BoT elections, Marae visit, Famine Weekend, Young Leaders Day in Palmerston North, Life Trust Caravan visit, Mid Year Reports and Parent Pupil Teacher interviews, as well as class and school golden time. Phew – that was a lot!
We are continued with our YMCA sports and Kiwi Can Programmes and enjoyed the Friday Class Presentation Assemblies.
Thank you to our Teachers who worked hard during the holidays to ensure classes were ready and also to our Cleaner Extraordinnaire Wendy Auld and Caretaker Bryce Meade who ensured our school was sparkly clean and great shape!
Term One Reflection Thank you to our Teachers who worked hard during the holidays to ensure classes were ready and also to Marie Bradley who made sure the school was looking spectacular before she left her role as Caretaker/Cleaner.
We had a fantastic but extremely busy term one with many highlights which have included our very successful swimming season, Twilight Picnic, our new Discovery Centre has provided endless enjoyment, the school garden has produced some delicious vegetables and fruit, new playground markings, school notice board and sign and a very successful Twilight Picnic.
Our YMCA Programme is well underway and the athletics programme (if the weather behaves) will complete a very productive term!
Our term highlights were the Zero Waste Educator visit our school, extentions swim coaching for elite swimmers, Hunterville Atheltics Championships in Hunterville, Cluster Swimming Championships, Twilight Picnic and our fabulous use of our new Discovery Centre.
